New Research on Meditation
There have been articles in the media recently about the benefits of meditation.
Research has shown that meditation is proven to balance your mind and body.
It works on many levels, it has a physical effect in that it lowers blood pressure
and increases serotonin. It has an effect on the mind by reducing stress and tension
and gives a feeling of serenity and relaxation. It greatly helps the ‘worrier’ switch
off.
When practised regularly it helps to put you things into perspective and go with
the flow.
You can go it alone and learn to meditate on your own, however learning in a group
or individually with a teacher, enhances your enjoyment and knowledge and enriches
your experience.
Meditation time at Harding Wellbeing is a time of calm wonderment, where you can
enjoy the serenity that comes with mindfulness.
The mindfulness class on Monday evenings now has places available.
This is a wonderful thing to do for yourself.
Class starts at 7:30 and take an hour. The cost is £10 per class and can be paid
weekly or as a block booking for a 10% discount.
Hope to see you at a class soon.
If you can’t attend on Monday evenings, other classes are held on Friday afternoons.
Classes at other times can be arranged.
